If you think SEOUL looks a lot different this month, it’s because it does.

While our previous, larger format served us well, it was time to move to a simpler, fresher layout that is both practical and aesthetically pleasing. With higher quality paper and a design that keeps clutter to absolute minimalism, our new format allows our images and text to speak for themselves. We like it, and we hope you do, too.

You’ll notice some new sections, too, including a special cover story and columns on Korean TV, cinema, music and literature. We’ll be adding even more as we settle into our new skin in the months ahead.

We hope the new look also marks a new beginning for our magazine as we enter our 14th year. We thank our readers for their support over the years, and if you’ve got any suggestions to make us better, don’t hesitate to send them our way.
