Running along the eastern edge of Gyeongbokgung Palace, Samcheong-dong Road is lined with beautiful ginkgo trees that turn a golden color in autumn. The street is lined with cafés, museums, antique shops, and a number of famous art galleries. Since each art gallery building has its own unique architectural design, taking a walk and appreciating the buildings is a journey in itself. Just past Samcheong Tunnel, at the end of the walkway, you’ll find Samcheong Park, which is famous for its thick forest and scenic views.
EAT> Many galleries have their own cafés, restaurants, or craft shops, allowing visitors to enjoy art, shopping, and lunch all under one roof.
Every shop has its own unique style inside and outside, and new shops are springing up all the time.
Situated in the gallery district, the World Jewelry Museum (www.wjmuseum.com) houses 3,000 jewelry pieces from 60 countries.
