<p>Walking along the stone wall of Deoksugung Palace, you can easily spot the Seoul Museum of Art (SeMA) at the first three-way intersection you reach. The museum is a pleasant resting place for urban workers during lunchtime. The museum has two more branches in Seoul. The Gyeonghuigung Annex was built in the palace compound in 1994 to celebrate the 600th anniversary of Seoul. Nam Seoul Annex is located near Sadang Station 사당역 (Line 4). It used to be the Belgium Legation and reopened as it is in 2004.</p>

Beaux arts, the in-house bakery café, sits on the third floor.</p>
<p><strong>BUY&gt;</strong><br />
At the art shop on the second floor, you can shop for various art books and items with art prints on them.</p>
<p><strong>SEE&gt;</strong><br />
Ongoing exhibitions include Gauguin and After: Voyage into the Myth, which will run through Sept 29 at the headquarters, and Chang Eung-Bok’s Boutique Hotel, Peach Blossom Dream which will continue till Aug 4 at the Nam Seoul branch.</p>

[box_dark]<strong>Palace Courtyard Concerts | 고궁음악회</strong>[/box_dark]
A series of traditional music concerts are taking place at Seoul’s major palaces and shrine during weekends throughout May and June. The four venues are Gyeongbokgung Palace (May 18 and 19 at 2pm and 4pm), Changdeokgung Palace (May 26 and June 2 and 9 at 11am), Deoksugung Palace (May 25, 26 and June 1, 2 at 7:30pm) and Jongmyo Shrine (every Saturdays till June 22 at 10am). Various open-air concerts and performances are customized to the unique historical background and ambiance of each venue. All events are free for visitors to the respective sites.</p>

In Memory of Landscape I Have Never Seen, a high-profile collection from the National Gallery in Prague showcases 107 pieces of carefully selected paintings from 28 different Czech artists. A group of modern masterpieces from Korea is also on display, featuring Lee Jung-sup, Park Soo-keun, and Kim Whan-ki,among many other artists. Admission is 12,000 won and free, respectively.</p>

Ohyang Jokbal 오향 족발 (T. 02-753-4755) serves five-spice pigs trotters that are immensely popular due to its secret recipe, which seeks to reduce the intense smell of the meat using five different spices.</p>

The nearby Jongno area is a major shopping district, and Namdaemun Market is within walking distance.</p>
<p><strong>SEE&gt;</strong><br />
The museum is part of Deoksugung Palace, which vividly contrasts modern Seoul with traditional Korea. Built during the mid-15th century, it is the smallest of Seoul’s palaces.</p>
