TO: Robert Koehler and whomever it may concern.

I just read your article about "Goesan" in your magazine. I'm a little
perplexed about the location involved. You state that the valley
Seonyugugok is "the centerpiece of Hwayang Provincial Park" but according
the Moon Handbook 4th Ed. all of those valleys are in Songni-san National
Park about 10km south of the town of Goesan.

The valley names are all the same as in your article, even the
descriptions about rock carvings, and some famous people, and other
details. (Moon books are very thorough).

So I'm seriously wondering about this. It's odd, but I was just reading
about that area a few days before I got your magazine, and it immediately
sounded the same, and I'm thinking of going there as soon as next week, in
fact.

My book doesn't mention detail about going from Goesan to the actual park
or valleys, how did you do that? Are there local busses? I mean, it
might be walking distance, but that is hard to say from the map I have.

Lastly, about how many buses from Dong Seoul go each day, if you happen to
know.

Thanks a lot for your help. I'm sure you know how hard it can be getting
reliable info about the backroads of this country, so I was very excited
to read your well-written article.

Take care,
